PRODUCT DETAILS

This pair of chromed embroidery scissors in the shape of the Eiffel Tower is a reissue of a model dating back to the late 19th century. The Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 Universal Exhibition, during which Jacques-Simon Sajou was awarded a silver medal. You’ll notice the intricate grid pattern simulating the metal beams of the Tower, as well as the quality of the screw and the precision of the very pointed blades. Made in France.
Characteristics:
  • Size: 4 icnhes – Sajou stamp on the upper blade
  • Decorative pompom: in orange and blue with a light blue Eiffel Tower charm specially made for this model.
  • Presentation: Sajou box, design may vary, with explanatory label inside the lid

No fewer than fifteen operations are required to produce such scissors, most of them carried out by hand.

An important detail that highlights the quality of these scissors is the pairing marks – the number engraved on the interior of each blade. On the photos presented here, you’ll see the number "56". This ensures that the two blades have been adjusted from the very first assembly stage to form a perfectly matched pair. After this initial adjustment, the scissors are disassembled for each part to undergo the necessary treatments before being reassembled and finished.
